FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY, December 3, 2008 – ASCO, the world’s leading manufacturer of solenoid valves, today introduced the high-flow, extended-life 8220 Series solenoid valve for steam and hot water applications.
“The new 8220 valve delivers flow rates up to 60% greater than competitive offerings, allowing higher throughput and productivity in original equipment manufacturers’ products,” said Robert Kemple, executive vice president, sales and marketing, ASCO Numatics-Americas. “The valve has been engineered for exceptionally long life and ease of installation and maintenance to provide the lowest total cost of ownership. Its ultra-reliable construction endures the rigors of steam and hot water service up to four times longer than other valves,” Kemple said.
The 8220 Series valve is ideal for manufacturers producing sterilizer, laundry, dishwasher, boiler, and food preparation equipment. A single valve can be used for both steam and hot water applications, helping manufacturers reduce inventory. DC constructions are now available for use in systems requiring quiet operation. Pipe sizes available from 3/8” to 2 ½”.
The 8220 Series valve is readily available from ASCO distributors or directly from the company. “Most of these products can be purchased through our ASCO Express 24-hour shipping program,” said Kemple. “Customers can order today and install their valves tomorrow.”
