Emerson has introduced zoned safety capability to its ASCO Numatics™ Series 501 and Series 502 valve manifolds, thereby providing a wider range of assemblies with this functionality. The zoned safety approach – already available in the ASCO Numatics Series 503 valve manifold – enables up to three safety zones to be isolated on a machine from a single assembly. This facilitates improvements in asset availability and productivity, leading to increased profitability.

Emerson announces the introduction of the ASCO Numatics 653 Series of air preparation products. Available in 1/2", 3/4" and 1" port sizes, the 653 Series has a high flow rate for its size. This enables customers to power more products from the same Filter-Regulator or Lubricator (FRL), or reduce pressure drop across the system, both of which enable potential energy and cost savings. The range of the 651, 652 and 653 Series consists of filters, regulators, filter regulators, lubricators, soft starts, quick exhausts, diverter blocks and shut off valves.

The new ASCO 381 Series poppet valves feature a broad operating temperature range of -60˚C to 80˚C for both ambient and media, which allows them to be used in extreme environmental conditions. The new Watertight and Hazardous Location DC solenoid operators meet Type 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4X, 6, 6P, 7 (Groups A, B, C, D) and 9 (Groups E, F, G) enclosure classification requirements with a 1/2” conduit hub. Maximum operating pressure differential is increased over 40% from 35 psi to 50 psi to handle higher supply pressure and provide increased throughput. Its broad ambient temperature range of -40°F to 140°F is ideally suited for frigid or hot environments.
