ASCO introduce the SENTRONIC PLUS series, a line of high-dynamic, electronic pressure regulators designed for demanding applications in pneumatic control technology


​The SENTRONIC PLUS allows easy and quick implementation of pressure regulated applications, e.g. dancer roller compensation, clamping force adaptation, tank pressure compensation, and much more. Even more advanced tasks, such as position and flow or force control, can be performed using external sensors and double-loop (cascaded) control.  In these cases, the possibility to put the valve into operation and control and maintain it directly via PC, and set up individual parameters, is of special advantage.

Using different valve mechanics allows the control of pressures from very low to very high levels. For example, the bellows mechanics provide excellent control results at 100 mbar. In contrast, the special high-pressure mechanics produce reliable performance at pressures of up to 50 bar. The different body and seal materials available allow the valves to be used in many areas of mechanical and process engineering, such as in the food industry, in medical technology etc. Due to their ATEX approval, they can also be operated in explosive atmospheres.

In times of increasingly shorter development and production phases, fast start-up and reliable, controllable production processes are more important than ever. With the help of the DaS software, monitoring and control functions are considerably simplified.

  • Control of the SENTRONICPLUS proportional valve
  • Visualisation of output pressure and regulator status
  • Diagnostics
  • Parameter setting, regulator optimisation
Output pressure in different units (e.g. bar, Mpa, mmHg), setpoint and feedback values are read out on the optional, clearly-readable display. Adjustment has intentionally been kept simple with the use of push-buttons and the display since the valve's full functionality is already available over the serial interface on all versions and the DaS software. In manual operation, the output pressure can be adjusted with the two push-buttons. This allows, for instance, downstream system components to be checked during start-up without the need for setpoint input from the system control. .
