General - Standby/Emergency Power Control Mode
The SYNCHROPOWER® system is designed to start and parallel up to 10 engine generator sets, to a maximum of 17 mW at; 4160 V and 50mW at 12,470V 60 HZ; .8 Power Factor; 3 phase, 3 wire, upon receipt of a signal from any of the automatic transfer switches that emergency power is required.
Click on the operation type below for an in depth description.
- Normal Source Failure Supplies emergency power in the event of a power failure.
- Load Demand Controls the number of generators necessary to support the load.
- Bus Optimization Allows adding as much non-essential load to the emergency bus as the remaining generators can handle.
- Isolate Peak Shave Transfers the entire load from the utility onto the generators.
- Load Setpoint Peak Shave Once utility usage reaches a set point, loads are transferred to generators.
- Power Restored Soft Load Upon restoration of utility power, the utility breaker is closed and generator main breaker will be opened (make before break).
- Power Restored Closed Transition Upon restoration of utility power, a seamless transfer from emergency to utility power occurs.
- Power Restored Open Transition Upon restoration of utility power, the generator main breakers are opened, and then after a short time delay, the utility breakers are closed (break before make).
